We’re quickly getting to know each other since the reshuffling of the Grade Seven homerooms. And we’re off to a great start!
Here’s a quick synopsis of our first week in Grade Seven Humanities –
- We have completed our Identity introduction art project – using words, phrases, illustrations, and colour to introduce our unique selves to others
- We have read a news article about wasps to start to develop routines around using the 5Ws in reading non-fiction sources. Why you might be noticing more wasps flying around Calgary – CBC News
- We read individually and as a group the story from the collection of the same name – “The Battle of the Red Hot Pepper Weenies”
- We’ve also had discussions about political cartoons from an article from CBC news – Can Art Transform a Nation’s Consciousness?
